Motrin

- Description -
Motrin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug available in bothprescription and nonprescription forms. Prescription Motrin is used in adultsfor relief of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis,treatment of menstrual pain, and relief of mild to moderate pain. In childrenaged 6 months and older it can be given to reduce fever and relieve mild tomoderate pain. It is also used to relieve the symptoms of juvenile arthritis.
Motrin IB tablets, caplets, and gelcaps; Children's Motrin Suspension; andAdvil tablets and caplets are available without a prescription. Check thepackages for uses, dosage, and other information on these products.

Abdominal cramps or pain,abdominal discomfort,bloating and gas,constipation,diarrhea,dizziness,fluid retention and swelling,headache,heartburn,indigestion,itching,loss of appetite,nausea,nervousness,rash,ringing in ears,stomach pain,vomiting
- Possible Interactions -
Aspirin
Blood pressure medications known as ACE inhibitors, including Vasotec and Capoten
Blood-thinning drugs such as Coumadin
Diuretics such as Lasix and HydroDIURIL
Lithium (Lithonate)
Methotrexate (Rheumatrex)
